IRC Racer Landmark 43’ Launched
The IRC Racer/ Cruiser Landmark 43’, the new Mark Mills designed IRC weapon has been launched in Dubai and has undergone its first sail trails. “The Formula Spars carbon rig package was easy to set up and performed perfectly during sail trials” commented Project Manager Claus Landmark.
The high-spec swept 2-spreader carbon rig from Formula Spars was the preferred rig for this IRC racer, but more importantly was recognised as the simplest most straightforward rig type for all use, offering performance, handling, and rating benefits. Carbon as a mast material is fairly treated in IRC above 40’, and is desirable for its reduction in the overall VCG of the yacht. The large asymmetric flown off the Formula carbon bowsprit is a very effective solution while racing, and offers significant benefits for shorthanded and leisure use.
